Schopper, Dolores Marie (Marriage - 4 June 1947)

Miss Dolores Marie Schopper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schopper, of Dorchester, became the bride of Dale Richard Elliott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Elliott, Chippewa Falls, Wednesday morning at St. Louis’ Catholic church at Dorchester, Wis. The Rev. Phillip Weller read the service before the 9:00 o’clock nuptial high mass.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white embossed summer satin, designed with a sweetheart neck line, bracelet length sleeves, and a long train. With it she wore a string of pearls. A finger tip veil, which fell from a head dress of pearlized orange blossoms, and a sheaf of calla lilies completed her ensemble.

Miss Marion Schopper attended her sister in a gown of Nile green, identical to that worn by the bride. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.

Jerome Reynolds, Dorchester, served as best man.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, decorated for the occasion in the green and white color scheme. A three tier wedding cake was the center piece at the bridal table.

In the evening a wedding dance was held at Jerkwater hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Elliott left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and will be at home to friends after June 8 in Abbotsford in the Busse apartment.

Before her marriage the bride was employed at the Lowell Dorn home. The groom is a trucker for the Western Condensing company at Owen.
